Markie Post is a noted American actor best known for her portrayals of public defense Christine Sullivan in NBCs sitcom Night Court the bail bondswoman Terri Michaels in ABCs drama series The Fall Guy and Georgie Anne Lahti Hartman in CBSs sitcom Hearts Afire. In addition to acting, she is also a veteran of game shows. The daughter of the poet Marylee Post and scientist Richard F. Post she was raised alongside two other children in Walnut Creek. She attended Las Lomas High School where she played cheerleading. She was briefly a student at Pomona College and graduated from Lewis & Clark College in Oregon. The previous marriage she had was to Stephen Knox. Michael A. Ross is her husband since 1982. The couple have two daughters. Post's character as a wife and mother as well as actress has been appreciated by a variety of Hollywood stars.
