Annet Mahendru
Mahendru was born to a Russian mother and a Hindu Indian father in Afghanistan. She speaks fluent German, Russian English in addition to French Persian and Hindi. Annet Mahendru has a Russian-Indian father. When she was 11, Annet Mahendru choreographed and performed a dance that earned her an appearance on German television show. The dance featured a Russian-born snow maiden who was transformed into an exciting Indian dancer. Following her graduation from New York's high school, she received her bachelor's in English degree from St. John's University. In college, she attended acting classes in the HB Studio, but she quit to pursue improvisation classes at The Groundlings School taking on several comedy-related projects afterward. She was raised within Kabul Afghanistan by a Hindu/Indian father Ghanshan Mahendru, as well as a Russian-speaking mother Olga. When she was just 13 her parents divorced. Her father moved the family members to East Meadow New York. The role she played on FX's The Americans as Nina Sergeevna Krilova is her most notable television appearance. She has had a recurring role in The Following on Fox, The Following and NBC's The Blacklist.
